Project Proposals

One of the main functions of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological-Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Research and Technology Initiative (CRTI) is to fund projects in science and technology (S&T) to strengthen Canada's preparedness for, prevention of, and response to potential chemical, biological, radiological-nuclear, or explosive (CBRNE) threats. Each year, CRTI solicits and assesses proposals from government, industry, and academia for new projects.

Applicants must demonstrate in their proposal how their S&T will be developed, applied, or adapted to articulated needs. General details on proposal process, eligibility, and funding can be found on the Centre’s website.

Applicants are requested to carefully review the current and completed research projects. Where substantial overlap with an existing project is found or where a similar capability is being proposed without a substantial demonstration of value or innovation, submissions may be rejected and receive no further consideration.
